Quick Start Guide

Clone & Setup Repository

Get the full-stack Turborepo up and running locally on your machine in five simple steps.

Clone the Repository

Clone the fullstack monorepo starter and navigate into the root directory.

npm

Install Dependencies

Installs and links all monorepo apps and shared `@repo/*` workspace packages.

npm install

STEP 03

Env

Configure Environment Variables

Set up frontend and backend environment files with local development defaults.

cp apps/api/.env.example apps/api/.env
cp apps/web/.env.example apps/web/.env.local

STEP 04

Prisma

Database & Prisma Setup

Generates the type-safe Prisma client for PostgreSQL / MongoDB database access.

npm run --prefix apps/api prisma:generate

STEP 05

Turbo

Start Development Servers

Launches Next.js (:3000) and Express.js (:5000) concurrently with live-reloading.

npm run dev
